Skill Builder Drills
This course is NOT designed to teach first-time
beginners how to shoot. You must already have had some training,
preferably a CCW course or an NRA pistol course.
You must be physically capable of
performing the movement drills - specifically, moving forward, back,
and side to side in unison with the line of shooters.
These drills are performed at a walking pace, and are not strength or
stamina intensive. There's no running or jumping required. The drills
require good concentration, coordination and, above all, total
adherence to safety.
Even though your chief instructor
is a former Marine, he will not yell at you like this
sweet gentleman..
We teach, and you learn through positive feedback which builds
self-confidence. We believe that you should not only have good
shooting skills, but the confidence to apply those skills in a
self-defense scenario, if the need arises.
The overall pace of the 2.5-hour course is at a medium, steady speed, with many repetitions and breaks
to reload mags and to review and assess performance. For many of the exercises, you
will work in teams of two. Women are encouraged to attend this course
with a friend or spouse.
