A+ Firearms Training - Nevada PILB and CCW Permits

So you've got your gun, your ammo, your CCW device, and your permit. Now what? Have you trained with this equipment? Ever practiced drawing and firing? You can't do that at a public shooting range, and virtually no one else teaches this. We can and we do, on a clean, safe, privately-owned range.

Our drills and training scenarios are guaranteed to invigorate you!

In this course you will learn:

How to safely and quickly draw and fire from your concealment device, using your gun, and your self-defense ammo.

Moving and shooting skills

Rapid fire "Stressfire" shooting technique

How to engage multiple assailants

How to shoot from behind cover

Extreme Close Quarters shooting techniques

Minimum Requirements:

Nevada CCW permit training course

Modern, reliable handgun (leave your antiques at home, please)

Concealed carry device (call to discuss if you have questions)

At least five (5) snap caps

200 rounds of regular target ammo

25 rounds of premium self-defense ammo. This should be the same ammo that you plan to load in your gun for self-protection. Yes, we know this ammo is expensive, but you should rotate this ammo out at least once a year, anyway. Why not employ it at the range for some solid training? We'll save it for the last set of drills.

Other Considerations

We will inspect and analyze your CCW device for compatibility with your gun and your clothing, and suggest possible improvements. Remember, your gun is of primary importance. Your wardrobe is secondary and must work with the gun. Get used to it. Carrying a gun is not necessarily going to be comfortable. Rather, it should be "comforting."

If your gun/device/clothing ensemble is problematic or unsafe for use in the drawing and firing exercise, you will not be allowed to participate in the exercise using the device. You can still shoot from the low ready or the "high ready position" depending on the drill.

This class requires a very high degree of attention to commands and total adherence to safety. We have a 100% perfect safety record, and we intend to keep it that way.

Before coming to class, please check to be sure that your gun and ammo are compatible. In other words, the numbers and symbols on the barrel or slide must match the head stamp on the bottom of the cartridge case.

Here's how you sign up for this class:

1. We run this course on Sunday afternoon, once month. Call to sign up.

2. Pay in advance for your slot by credit card. We'll email a map and directions to the range to you. We usually start at 1 pm. Start times vary, based on the time of year, and available sunlight.

3. Come to the range with the following equipment and items:

Map and directions to the range.
Gun, ammo, and carry device as described earlier. Add a new gun to your CCW permit while you're there, at no extra charge!
Ear and eye protection
Hat with visor (a.k.a. hot brass deflector system)
Water, snacks, and lunch (optional)
Gun oil and cleaning cloth
Dress for the weather. We shoot outdoors.
