There is no limit to the numbers of guns you may have listed on your permit. Any caliber, any style is acceptable. For revolvers, if you qualify once with a revolver of any make, model, or caliber you may now carry any revolver you choose. (NV statute revised in 2007)

For semi-autos, you must qualify with each differing make and model you wish to have listed on your permit. Example: Even though a Kimber 1911 and a Colt 1911 are nearly identical, you must still qualify with each one, as they are of differing manufacturers. Yes, we know this is a silly law, and it needs to be changed. Until then, we follow the law. Please don't ask us to bend or break the rules.

If you wish to add additional guns to your CCW permit, you must first pass a live-fire qualification test in the presence of an approved CCW instructor.

Here's how you do it:

1. Check our calendar for a "Range Day" then call or email us to schedule your addition.

2. We'll send a link to you with a map and directions to the range

3. Come to the range at the scheduled time with the following equipment and items:

Map and directions to the range. You won't be able to find it without the map!
All guns you wish to add to your CCW permit while you're there
50 rounds of ammo per handgun (No hand loaded ammo, please)
Ear and eye protection. We have loaners, if needed.
Appropriate attire for the weather and conditions. No open toe shoes on the range, please.

4. Perform your live fire successfully, and receive a certificate.

5. Take the certificate to your Sheriff's office for the permit change. They charge a $15.00 fee to change and re-issue an amended permit, not for each gun added to the permit. For additional questions contact the Sheriff's Office.

6. Dispose of your old permit once you receive the new (amended) permit.
